Royal Caribbean International has announced a comprehensive lineup of Asian cruises for 2026-27, marking a significant expansion of their presence in the region. The program will operate from two major hub ports: Shanghai and Hong Kong, offering voyages ranging from two to nine nights aboard the Spectrum of the Seas.
The new season introduces several innovative itineraries, including first-ever 8-night adventures to Japan’s iconic Mount Fuji and Nagoya. Passengers will have the opportunity to explore the famous Five Lakes region and experience the historic city of Nagoya. The program also features shorter excursions to destinations such as the Gamcheon Culture Village in Busan and the serene hot springs of Kumamoto.
Beginning in May 2026, travelers can book various itineraries exploring popular destinations across Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam. The schedule includes visits to major cities such as Tokyo, Osaka, Okinawa, and Hakodate in Japan; Busan and Jeju in South Korea; and Da Nang and Hue in Vietnam.
A notable expansion of services from Hong Kong will commence in November 2026, featuring an array of vacation options to Asian destinations. These include sailings to Ishigaki and Okinawa, Japan, as well as a unique “cruise-to-nowhere” experience.
The Spectrum of the Seas, specifically designed for the Asian market, offers guests a range of world-class amenities including the North Star observation capsule, RipCord by iFly skydiving simulator, and FlowRider surf simulator. The ship also features diverse dining options, from Jamie’s Italian to regional favorites like Hot Pot, Teppanyaki, and Sichuan Red.
According to Benjamin Bouldin, President of Royal Caribbean International China, “This is one of our most exciting lineups yet, with incredible new destinations and longer, more immersive itineraries”.
