Launched in 2010, Celebrity Eclipse is the third ship of Celebrity Cruises’ Solstice Class, built by Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany. Shortly after entering service, she helped bring around 2,000 British travellers stranded in Spain back to Southampton during the air travel disruption caused by the Icelandic volcanic eruption of 2010. In spring 2025 she completed a three-week dry dock in Brest, France, which renewed carpets, furniture and upholstery, added ten new interior staterooms and expanded The Retreat for suite guests. She is a spacious, relaxed ship, with the real-grass Lawn Club as one of her best-known features.

Eclipse offers the classic open-air spaces of the Solstice Class:

  • Eclipse Theatre: The main show lounge, with 1,115 seats, which hosts the ship’s production shows.

  • Rooftop Terrace: An open-air terrace on the upper decks with sea views.

  • AquaSpa: The spa and fitness complex, with treatments, a gym and a thermal area.
