Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has revealed extensive renovation plans for two of its vessels, Norwegian Bliss and Norwegian Breakaway, set to commence in early 2025. The upgrades will introduce innovative entertainment venues and expanded dining options, reinforcing NCL’s commitment to enhancing guest experiences.
A highlight of the renovations is the introduction of ‘Silver Screen Bistro’ aboard Norwegian Breakaway, marking the industry’s first immersive cinema and dining venue at sea. This unique concept will feature oversized recliners and retractable tables, allowing guests to enjoy a selection of dishes from Food Republic while watching movies in a comfortable setting.

Both ships will receive a new outdoor recreational space called ‘Horizon Park,’ designed to provide guests with a versatile gathering area featuring lawn-style games, giant Jenga, and reclining loungers. Norwegian Breakaway’s version will include an additional stage for live entertainment, offering panoramic ocean views to enhance the guest experience.

Norwegian Bliss will undergo significant accommodation updates, including the expansion of The Haven by Norwegian® with enhanced three-bedroom Premiere Owner’s Suites. The ship will also add 26 new staterooms and see the expansion of popular dining venues such as Cagney’s Steakhouse and Teppanyaki. The renovation will also introduce Palomar, the elevated seafood restaurant that debuted on Norwegian Prima in 2022.

The renovations are scheduled strategically, with Norwegian Bliss entering dry dock from January 17 to February 2, 2025, followed by Norwegian Breakaway from February 19 to March 14, 2025. Post-renovation, Norwegian Bliss will offer itineraries in the Caribbean, Mexican Riviera, and Alaska, while Norwegian Breakaway will operate European cruises from Barcelona and Venice (Trieste), visiting various Mediterranean destinations.
