The Disney Treasure, Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, has arrived at Port Canaveral after completing its transatlantic journey. The arrival was marked by a warm welcome from Captain Mickey, Captain Minnie, and over 250 Disney cast members, along with media and spectators.

- Christening ceremony in New York City on November 19, 2024
- Maiden voyage scheduled for December 21, 2024
In a departure from tradition, Disney has announced that the honorary role of godparent for the Disney Treasure will be held collectively by The Walt Disney Company’s cast, crew, Imagineers, and employees worldwide. This decision recognizes the contributions of over 200,000 employees who create memorable experiences for families.
Following the ship’s arrival, Disney Cruise Line introduced the “Treasure Tomorrow” program. This initiative aims to support community-building efforts through career exploration programs and cultural and environmental initiatives for students in ports visited by the Disney Treasure during its inaugural season.
Sharon Siskie, a representative from Disney Cruise Line, stated that the program was created to inspire students in homeport communities across Florida, The Bahamas, and the Caribbean to explore various career paths and pursue their aspirations.
As the Disney Treasure prepares for its christening and maiden voyage, it joins the growing fleet of Disney Cruise Line, promising new adventures for future passengers.
