MSC Cruises Plans Super Bowl Ad Debut Showcasing New Ship

January 8, 2025

MSC Cruises, the world’s third-largest cruise line, is set to make its Super Bowl advertising debut with a 60-second commercial featuring two yet-to-be-announced celebrities. The advertisement will showcase the cruise line’s newest vessel, MSC World America, highlighting the brand’s blend of European style and American comfort.

The commercial marks the beginning of a major marketing initiative for MSC Cruises in the United States, emphasizing several key features including their modern fleet deployment across U.S. ports, American-focused amenities, and the exclusive MSC Yacht Club experience.

MSC World America, the company’s largest ship dedicated to the North American market, will begin sailings from PortMiami on April 12, 2025, offering 7-night Caribbean itineraries. The ship will feature 19 dining venues, 18 bars and lounges, and seven distinct districts designed for various traveler preferences.

In a significant expansion move, MSC Cruises will also inaugurate the world’s largest cruise terminal at PortMiami on April 9, with plans to extend sailings to Galveston, Texas, and later to Alaska in summer 2026.

The Super Bowl commercial announcement comes as MSC Cruises continues to expand its presence in high-profile sports sponsorships, as they will be the title sponsor of three Formula 1 races in 2025.
