Royal Caribbean presents the latest addition to their family: Utopia of the Seas. The delivery ceremony for the newest vacation marvel occurred in Saint-Nazaire, France, where the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard officially handed over the keys to Royal Caribbean. This event took place five weekends ahead of Utopia’s grand debut in Port Canaveral (Orlando), Florida, scheduled for July.
The completion of this new cruise ship is the result of over two years of construction. The delivery ceremony saw the gathering of more than 1,600 crew members and workers, marking this milestone in the signature AquaTheater. Royal Caribbean Group President and CEO Jason Liberty, Royal Caribbean International President and CEO Michael Bayley, and General Manager of Chantiers de l’Atlantique Laurent Castaing hosted Utopia’s inaugural party.
In anticipation of its summer debut on July 19, Utopia will travel to the U.S., with Royal Caribbean teams making final preparations to ensure the ship is ready. Being the latest addition to the Oasis Class, Utopia is the first of its kind to offer 3-night weekend and 4-night weekday getaways. With more than 40 dining, drinking, and celebration options, many pools and thrilling activities.
