The ship where Holland America launched three new World Stage productions in 2026, including a rock show presented with Rolling Stone.
Oosterdam is the second of Holland America Line's four Vista-class ships and entered service in 2003. She was named on 29 July 2003 in Rotterdam by Princess Margriet of the Netherlands, during the celebrations for the line's 130th anniversary, and her name comes from "ooster", Dutch for east. A dry dock in April 2025 expanded the casino, redesigned the Greenhouse Spa & Salon and added an arts studio and a games room to the Crow's Nest. In 2026 and 2027 she alternates Mediterranean cruises from ports such as Barcelona, Piraeus and Trieste with a winter season in South America. She will be refitted in Marseille under the Holland America Evolution programme and return to service on 31 October 2027, with Bar 1873, a new bar in the two-deck atrium, and a redesigned Crow's Nest.
