The event, which was livestreamed on Disney’s YouTube channel, marked a significant milestone for the cruise line and offered viewers a glimpse into the magic that awaits future passengers. The show, lasting approximately 10 minutes, began with a 2-minute intro video showcasing various areas of the new ship.
The ceremony featured a live performance of the ships theme song “Live the Adventure” by Jordan Sparks, the renowned recording artist and American Idol star. The song incorporates musical elements inspired by the Disney film “Aladdin,” which also influenced the design of the ship’s Grand Hall. The composition blends Agrabah-inspired sounds with contemporary pop styles. “Live the Adventure” is available on various music streaming platforms. The song’s theme aligns with the ship’s focus on adventure and exploration. This marks the first instance of a Disney Cruise Line ship having its own signature song.
One of the highlights of the event was a drone show that featured music from beloved Disney movies. The christening itself was performed using drones from the sky, hovering above the ship. The drone show was combined with a light show from the ship itself, using the windows and various onboard lighting systems to create a blend with the music.
