January 21, 2025

Celebrity Cruises is inviting the public to help shape their newest vessel, the Celebrity Xcel. Through the newly announced Xcel Dream Makers program, cruise enthusiasts worldwide will have the unique opportunity to influence key aspects of the ship’s design and experiences. This innovative initiative marks the first time in the cruise industry that potential guests will have such direct input into a ship’s development.

Participants will contribute to various aspects of the ship’s creation, including:

  • Interior design and service elements
  • Culinary experiences and dining concepts
  • Entertainment programming and show production elements

The Celebrity Xcel recently achieved a significant construction milestone with its float-out ceremony at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France. The vessel features innovative technology, including the industry’s first tri-fuel capable engine, supporting Royal Caribbean Group’s commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

Set to debut in November 2025, the Celebrity Xcel will initially operate seven-night Caribbean itineraries from Fort Lauderdale before transitioning to Mediterranean voyages in Summer 2026, offering journeys between Barcelona and Athens.
