MSC Cruises announces Drew Barrymore and Orlando Bloom for Big Game Ad

January 25, 2025

MSC Cruises announces Drew Barrymore and Orlando Bloom as the stars of their first-ever Super Bowl commercial. The 60-second advertisement will showcase the cruise line’s newest vessel, MSC World America, highlighting the combination of European elegance and American comfort that defines the brand.

The teaser of the commercial features both stars aboard MSC World America, with a particularly entertaining scene in the MSC Yacht Club’s Top Sail Lounge where Barrymore performs her rendition of “Holiday” while Bloom provides commentary.

For MSC Cruises, this marketing initiative marks a significant step in their North American expansion. The timing aligns with the upcoming launch of MSC World America, their largest ship serving the North American market, which will begin operations from PortMiami on April 12, 2025. The vessel will offer 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises, including stops at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, the company’s private island destination in The Bahamas.

The commercial, produced by award-winning creative agency Highdive, aims to differentiate MSC Cruises from other cruise options in the market. Through the dynamic between Barrymore and Bloom, the ad seeks to showcase the distinctive features that make MSC World America a unique vacation choice for both American and European travelers.
