Costa Cruises has announced a significant expansion of its programming for the 2025-2026 winter season, particularly highlighting two new and fascinating itineraries in the western Mediterranean aboard Costa Toscana.
The first itinerary, beginning in early January 2026, offers an exclusive 12-day experience departing from Savona. This route will allow passengers to discover the beauty of Andalusia, Morocco and Tunisia in an unprecedented journey to experience the Mediterranean more deeply.
Departing from Savona, the ship will make stops in Marseille, Barcelona, Alicante and Malaga, where Moorish history blends with Andalusian energy. Then, crossing the Strait of Gibraltar, it will arrive at Tangier, with its characteristic white alleys, the Kasbah and the promontory of Cape Spartel.
One of the highlights of this itinerary is the night stop at the “Alboran Sea Darkest Spot,” one of the darkest points in the Mediterranean, where passengers can admire stars and constellations with exceptional visibility. In La Goulette (Tunis), guests can stroll through the ruins of Carthage, the souk and enjoy the aromas of the Medina.
The second new itinerary for the 2025-26 winter season is dedicated to the “Gulfs of Italy.” Until December 2025, Costa Toscana will operate 7-day cruises departing from Savona with stops in Italy, France and Spain. This route begins in Savona, continues to Marseille with the aromas of Provence, and then to Barcelona, where modernist art meets Catalan vitality.
After a night stop at the “Balearic Sea Darkest Spot” to observe the stars, the journey continues to the Gulf of Naples, Civitavecchia (gateway to Rome) and finally La Spezia, with its UNESCO World Heritage coastal villages in Cinque Terre and the Gulf of Poets.
In addition to these new offerings, Costa Smeralda will also offer 7-day cruises in the western Mediterranean, departing from Genoa with stops in Marseille, Barcelona, “Balearic Sea Darkest Spot,” Cagliari, Naples and Civitavecchia/Rome. For those who prefer shorter experiences, Costa Favolosa will offer mini cruises of 3 and 4 days in the western Mediterranean during autumn.
Costa’s expansion is not limited to the Mediterranean. From December 2025, Costa Fascinosa and Costa Pacifica will jointly offer five one-week itineraries in the Caribbean, while Costa Fortuna will feature 7-day cruises to the Canary Islands, and Costa Serena will conduct 14-day itineraries in Asia. As a crowning touch, Costa Deliziosa will depart from Trieste on November 21, 2025 for a 142-day World Cruise through South America, Polynesia, Australia, Asia and the Indian Ocean.
