Riviera is the second Oceania-class ship and the sister of Marina, built by Fincantieri in Sestri Ponente (Genoa) and delivered in April 2012. She was named in Barcelona on 11 May 2012 by chef Cat Cora and began her first cruise, from Venice to Athens, on 16 May 2012. A re-inspiration completed at the end of 2022 redesigned every stateroom and suite, with Italian marble bathrooms, renewed the lounges, bars and restaurants and added the evening Pizzeria at Waves Grill. In recent seasons she has opened new regions for the ship, with Asia in 2023-2024, Alaska in 2025 and Australia and New Zealand in 2025-2026.
