Disney Cruise Line has announced the home port, first sailing date and onboard spaces of the Disney Believe, the fourth ship of its Wish class after Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny. The ship will start sailing on 18 December 2027 from Port Everglades, in Fort Lauderdale (Florida), with 4- and 5-night cruises to the Bahamas and the Caribbean. Every itinerary will call at one or both of the line’s islands, Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. General bookings open on 19 October 2026.

The ship’s theme is “promise and possibility”, built around Disney characters who believe in themselves. Tinker Bell will be on the bow and sculptures of Buzz Lightyear and Woody on the stern. The Grand Hall, the central atrium, is themed to Moana, with a statue of Moana, Pua and Heihei and a chandelier that hides the heart of Te Fiti.

Shows

  • Disney Encanto: the first stage adaptation of the Walt Disney Animation Studios film, exclusive to the Disney Believe, with songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda such as “We Don’t Talk About Bruno”.
  • Tangled: The Musical, already performed on the Disney Magic, with a new set design.
  • Disney Seas the Adventure, the show of the other Wish-class ships.
  • Gazelle, an entertainment area themed to Zootopia, with family activities during the day and adults-only entertainment at night. It will host the first Disney Cruise Line show with Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde.

The Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party with fireworks at sea, the Hero Zone sports area, the Disney Uncharted Adventure game and the Wonderland and Never Land cinemas will also be on board.

Restaurants and bars

The new family dinner restaurant is Oaken’s Table: A Frozen Family Feast, set in a courtyard in the forest where Oaken and his family host dinner with music from the Frozen films. It joins two restaurants from the sister ships, 1923 and Worlds of Marvel. Other new venues are the cafés Big Hero Sips (Big Hero 6) and Café Kakamora (Moana), the Inside Out: Joyful Sweets shop with characters from Inside Out 2, and Pluto’s Pita Platters, a Mediterranean stall in the Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods.

For adults, there will be three new bars: Sea Notes, a piano lounge inspired by The Little Mermaid; Wishing Well, themed to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs; and Skygazers, a pub designed as an observatory. The Haunted Mansion Parlor returns with a new menu, along with Palo Steakhouse, Enchanté by chef Arnaud Lallement, the Quiet Cove adult pool area and the Senses Spa.

Pools and children

The AquaMouse water ride, 760 feet (232 m) long, will show new Mickey and Minnie shorts. The family area on the upper decks will have seven pools, and there will be a Toy Story water area for younger children. Disney’s Oceaneer Club, for children aged 3 to 10, will have an entrance themed to Monsters, Inc., only on this ship.

Staterooms

According to Disney, 70% of the staterooms will have a verandah and more than 450 will have connecting doors. The ship will have seven Toy Story-themed oceanview rooms and four royal suites themed to The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast. The largest is the Believe Tower Suite, a two-storey suite of nearly 2,000 square feet (about 185 m²) inside the forward funnel, for up to eight guests, themed to the lands of Magic Kingdom Park.

With the Disney Believe, Disney Cruise Line continues an expansion that, according to the company, will bring its fleet to 13 ships by the end of 2030.
