A ship named after New York's Dutch past, with the only stand-alone Morimoto By Sea restaurant afloat.
Nieuw Amsterdam, delivered by Fincantieri in Marghera (Italy) in 2010, is the second and last of Holland America Line's Signature-class ships, sister of Eurodam, and the fourth ship of the line to carry this name. She was named by Princess Máxima of the Netherlands in Venice on 4 July 2010, and her art collection and décor draw on New York, the city once called New Amsterdam. Since 2023 she has been home to Morimoto By Sea, the only stand-alone restaurant of Chef Masaharu Morimoto at sea, and in December 2023 she added the Rolling Stone Lounge. In 2028 she returns to Europe for the first time in more than a decade.
