The sailing included onboard commentary from destination experts, enrichment talks about the canal’s history, and viewing opportunities from open decks and observation spaces.

The company also highlighted its long history in the destination. Princess Cruises says it pioneered regularly scheduled Panama Canal cruising in 1967 and remains a leading cruise line on the route. For the 2026-2027 season, the line plans six ships on 31 departures across nine itineraries from Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco and Vancouver.

Star Princess is described as a 177,800-ton Sphere Class ship carrying 4,300 guests. Princess Cruises positions it as part of the next phase of its product, with upgraded dining, entertainment and accommodations alongside its signature service.
