Celebrity Cruises has revealed details of four new venues that will be included on its upcoming ship, Celebrity Xcel. These areas, part of a total of seven new concepts onboard, are designed to expand the entertainment and relaxation offerings. The vessel is scheduled to begin its inaugural season in the Caribbean starting in November 2025.
One of the main new features is the “Celebrity Pool Club,” an enhanced pool area that will operate all day. It will feature a “pool valet” service offering chilled towels and other items, private cabanas with dedicated service, and a special event called “Poolest Day Ever” on Caribbean sea days. Additionally, “Attic at The Club” will be introduced, an adults-oriented game room, open 24/7, with retro arcade games like Pac-Man and classics like pool and foosball.
The ship’s spa, “The Spa,” will be the largest in Celebrity’s fleet to date and will incorporate the “Hydra Room℠,” a new hydrotherapy experience within the Thermal Suite. The “Vitamin D Deck℠,” an outdoor terrace at the front of the ship for the exclusive use of Thermal Suite guests, will also be added.
The fourth new feature is the first “Celebrity Flagship” store. This space will combine the sale of products, including customizable and ship-exclusive items, with an interactive exhibit on the history and innovations of the cruise line.
Celebrity Xcel will begin sailing in November 2025 from Fort Lauderdale, with seven-night itineraries to Caribbean destinations such as The Bahamas, Mexico, and St. Thomas. For the summer of 2026, the ship will move to Europe for its inaugural Mediterranean season, with seven- to eleven-night sailings from Barcelona and Athens.
