MSC Cruises has officially entered the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ books by creating the longest line of LEGO® ships ever assembled. The record-breaking feat took place aboard their newest flagship vessel, MSC World America, during its journey from Saint-Nazaire, France, to Miami, Florida.

More than 1,000 crew members participated in this endeavor, working together to assemble an impressive 1,391 LEGO® ships. The finished display stretched an incredible 89 meters along the ship’s World Galleria on Deck 6.

The meticulous process required significant dedication, with each LEGO® ship taking approximately five minutes to construct. In total, the project consumed around 7,000 minutes (equivalent to 116 hours) of careful assembly work. Despite the extensive individual building time, the team successfully arranged the entire record-breaking line in under two hours, with a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ adjudicator present to verify compliance with official guidelines.

This achievement aligns with MSC Cruises’ existing entertainment partnerships with both LEGO® and GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™. The cruise line’s commitment to innovative entertainment experiences will be further showcased on MSC World America, which will feature the industry’s first LEGO® themed parade at sea, along with a LEGO® Family Game Show and a dedicated LEGO® Family Zone builder area.

The record attempt comes as MSC World America prepares for its official naming ceremony, scheduled for April 9 at the new state-of-the-art MSC Miami Cruise Terminal. The ship will commence its inaugural Caribbean season on April 12.

As recognition for their participation in this historic moment, each crew member received an official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ certificate and was gifted one of the LEGO® ships used in the record attempt as a commemorative keepsake.
