MSC Cruises has announced a major upgrade for MSC Poesia, marking one of the largest renovations in the cruise line’s history. The ship will be enhanced with the addition of the company’s exclusive MSC Yacht Club concept, along with several new dining venues and recreational facilities, all scheduled to be ready for the ship’s inaugural Alaska season in summer 2026.

The centerpiece of this renovation is the introduction of MSC Yacht Club to MSC Poesia, bringing the cruise line’s luxury all-inclusive concept to more travelers. This exclusive “ship-within-a-ship” area will feature 63 elegant suites across five different categories, catering to various preferences and group sizes. Among these accommodations, the Royal Suite stands out with capacity for up to six guests, a private whirlpool, a 78 square meter terrace, and a private outdoor shower with panoramic ocean views.

Guests booking the MSC Yacht Club experience will enjoy 24-hour butler and concierge service, alongside access to private facilities including a dedicated restaurant with refined menus and sommelier service, the Top Sail Lounge featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, and a private sundeck with a Grill & Bar and two whirlpools complete with cabanas and sun loungers.

Beyond the MSC Yacht Club, the renovation includes several ship-wide enhancements. Dining options will be expanded with the addition of Butcher’s Cut, an American-style steakhouse serving premium cuts of meat, and a reimagined Kaito Sushi Bar offering authentic Asian cuisine. For entertainment, the new All-Stars Sports Bar will provide a venue for watching sports events and enjoying casual drinks and snacks.

Wellness facilities will also receive significant attention with a revamped MSC Aurea Spa featuring an Ocean View Sauna, two steam rooms, a salt room, Kneipp path, emotional showers, and relaxation areas. The MSC Gym Powered by Technogym® will be enhanced with state-of-the-art fitness equipment, ocean-facing workout areas, a yoga room, and outdoor sports courts.

This renovation comes as MSC Cruises prepares to launch its first-ever Alaska season in summer 2026, with seven-night sailings from Seattle between May and September. The itineraries will include destinations such as Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, Tracy Arm, and Juneau in Alaska, along with Victoria in British Columbia, Canada. Following the Alaska season, the ship will reposition for winter 2026/2027 Caribbean and Central America cruises from Miami, with visits to Jamaica, Colombia, Costa Rica, and several Caribbean islands.

The ship will also offer highly sought-after Panama Canal transit voyages between Seattle and Miami, creating a unique Grand Voyage experience for guests wanting a more extensive cruise adventure.

Sales for the MSC Yacht Club suites on these itineraries are now open, allowing travelers to be among the first to experience the newly upgraded MSC Poesia in some of the world’s most spectacular cruise destinations.
