Norwegian Cruise Line to Revitalize Norwegian Epic and Pride of America for Summer 2025

May 8, 2025

MIAMI (May 1, 2025) – Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has announced that two of its ships, Norwegian Epic and Pride of America, will undergo revitalization projects scheduled to be ready for the 2025 summer travel season. These enhancements aim to update onboard facilities and services.

Upon completion of its three-week dry dock on May 8, 2025, Norwegian Epic will feature several new additions. On the top deck, a new hot tub will be installed on deck 18, and the Kids’ Aqua Park will be refreshed. The Vibe Beach Club, an adults-only space replacing Posh Beach Club, will be expanded with an additional hot tub, more lounge chairs, and new private cabanas. Additionally, eight new staterooms will be added, combining balcony and oceanview options. Starting May 8, 2025, Norwegian Epic will sail nine, ten, and eleven-day cruises from Rome (Civitavecchia) through the Mediterranean and Greek Isles, visiting ports such as Santorini, Mykonos, and Valletta. Subsequently, it will operate seven-day Southern Caribbean cruises from San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Meanwhile, Pride of America, the only cruise ship sailing seven-day, year-round Hawaii itineraries from Honolulu, will receive upgrades between May 3 and May 31, 2025. A new Starbucks location will be included in The Capitol Atrium (deck 5), and a pickleball court will be set up on the existing sports court. Regarding accommodations, 12 new club balcony suites and three inside staterooms will be added on deck 12. The youth clubs Splash Academy (for children ages 3 to 12) and Entourage (for teens) will be relocated to deck 6, and a new library and card room will be created. The ship will resume its inter-island Hawaii cruises on May 31, 2025, offering nearly 100 hours of port time and overnights in Maui and Kauai.

David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line, noted that these renovations are based on guest feedback.
