Seattle
Two cruise terminals: Pier 66 on the downtown waterfront, near Pike Place Market, and Pier 91 at Smith Cove, 5 km north by road.
From Seattle-Tacoma airport to either cruise terminal is a 30 to 40 minute ride. Pike Place Market is a 12-minute walk from Pier 66.
Seattle is the main departure port in the United States for round-trip Alaska cruises, with sailings from late April to early October. The Port of Seattle has two cruise terminals: Bell Street Cruise Terminal at Pier 66, on the downtown waterfront, and Smith Cove Cruise Terminal at Pier 91, about 3 km (2 miles) to the north in the Interbay area. It is worth checking which one your ship uses, as they are not within walking distance of each other. Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is about 25 km (15 miles) south of downtown. The Link light rail connects it with the city centre in around 40 minutes, and taxis and cruise line transfers go directly to both piers.
From Pier 66, Pike Place Market, with its fish stalls and food counters, is a short walk along the waterfront. Seattle Center, home to the Space Needle, the Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibition and the Museum of Pop Culture, is about 1.5 km (1 mile) away, and the Seattle Center Monorail links it with Westlake Center downtown. Other options before or after the cruise include the Seattle Aquarium and the Great Wheel on the waterfront, the Pioneer Square historic district and a ferry ride across Elliott Bay to Bainbridge Island, with views of the city skyline.
